How-To: Setup The Decimator Quad (for up to 4 cameras)

Below are instructions on how to set up the Decimator Quad when shooting with up to 4 cameras.

Getting Started:

Please make sure your video signals are going into SDI Input 1, SDI Input 2, SDI Input 3, and SDI Input 4.

Make sure that SDI Output is going into your on set monitor. Make sure that HDMI Output is going into the LiveU encoder.

Decimator Settings:

Follow these instructions:

  1. Press right arrow until you see Control.

  2. When you see Control press Enter.

  3. Press right arrow till you see Output Select. Press Enter until you see Multi-Viewer.

  4. While in Control, ress right arrow till you see MV Windows. Press Enter until you see 04.

  5. While in Control, press right arrow till you see MV Audio Source, Press Enter till you see Window 1. MAKE SURE AUDIO IS BEING ROUTED TO THE CAMERA THAT IS PLUGGED INTO SDI INPUT 1. IF YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL NOT HEAR AUDIO.

  6. Press Back till you see Control highlighted, then press right arrow till you see UMDs.

  7. When you see UMDs press Enter until you see All On.

  8. Double check that the HDMI cable is connected going from HDMI Output on the Decimator Quad and into the LiveU solo.

  9. Make sure the SDI cable is going from SDI Output to the on-set monitor.
