This article will cover how to deploy your release templates from the MEsuite App.
Overview
If you’ve just been invited to a new project and have never used MEsuite before, you’ll need to claim your profile. Check you inbox for an invite from support@mesuite.com, if it's not there, check your spam folder.
If you have used MEsuite before, you’ll need to log on at app.mesuite.com to accept the project.
Two ways of accessing your templates:
-
From Desktop or Mobile Browser - log in at app.mesuite.com
-
From the MEsuite App - Download for iOS - MEsuite App
In this article, we'll go over the iOS app since it's the most convenient way of accessing and deploying your contract templates.
Deployment Options
Once you’ve logged in and can access your project, you have three options to have people sign your contract:
- Sign Directly on your device (Offline Mode) - sign directly on your device, internet not required
- Copy URL Link (Copied to your device clipboard) - text, email or air drop
- Display QR Code (Easily Access Your QR Code) - Screenshot it for quicker reference if you need to.
MEsuite App Instructions
Offline Mode - Single Singer
If you have no internet connection, you can have people sign and save their contract on your device.
Simply click on the left Green Sign button to pull up singing mode.
It will take you to the contract itself. You can hand the device to the person signing.
From here the signer will be able to fill out their information, take a selfie and submit the release. You will see a notification that states that the release has been saved to your device and is pending a sync. You can move on to the next person and follow the same steps.
Once you've finished getting signatures AND has a strong internet connection, simply press the purple “Start Sync” button whenever you’re ready.
Displaying QR Code
If are in an area that has good internet connect and need to capture many signatures at the same time, you can deploy a QR code for people to scan.
- Simply click on the right Green Gear button.
- That will pop up a modal at the bottom of the page.
- Then select QR code.
If You Have an Android Device - Deploying a Release From a Mobile Browser
If you don't have an iOS device, you can still share the URL and Display the QR code as long as you still have internet connection.
Copy URL
If you need to send a release to someone, you can copy the release’s URL to your clipboard using this option. A good example of this is if you’re in contact with a Restaurant Manager and want to get their 150 employees pre-released, you can send that single link to the manager and they can forward it to their team. Each click will generate a unique release for that person to sign.
QR Code
Another way of deploying a release is via a QR code. This is a great option if you’re in a location where there are several people who have their own devices AND have a connection to the internet. For example, if you’re shooting at a bar and want to get the patrons to sign, you can simply hold up the QR code (printed or displayed on a device) have the patrons scan the code with their phones, and sign their document at their own pace. You can also email QR codes if you prefer.
Best Practice - Scanning The QR Code
iOS
iOS users can simply open up the camera and hover over the QR code. A yellow link option will appear on the screen, tap on that to open the contract template for signing.
Android
Because there are several different Android Models, there are many different ways of scanning a QR code that might not work. Some might not scan or will take you to the wrong website.
To ensure that a signer ends up in the right place, please instruct any Android users to use the Google Lens button from their phone's native search bar. It should look like this:
That is the most reliable way to access your contract template from a QR code.
After Signing, Proof of Submission - QR/URL ONLY
Once a person has signed using the QR code or URL link, they'll get a proof of submission card showing the required items they filled out; like Name, Signature, and Photo. This is a quick and easy way to reference that they signed your contract.
Here's an example of a proof of submission card:
You'll be able to quickly and easily reference if that person has not only signed your template but done so correctly as well.
Conclusion
That’s it! Deploying releases is fairly straightforward, but there are a few considerations as to which one to use.
